When we have the events on Full Tilt, should we make them Knockout events? Here is some more info about knockout events.
The upside is that there is more access to the prize pool money as you are rewarded for knocking someone out, not just placing in the money.
The downside is that the prize pool is reduced by 20%.
Thoughts??

KO events are fine with me. I don't know if every one should be…but be nice to every so often. I rule.

I'm not opposed to KO tourney's, but I would prefer that they not be. I mean, you're looking at changing the dynamic of the early stages of the TPT if it is a KO tournament. You're much more likely to see players move all in at the early stages in an effort to collect the bounty, not necessarily to collect more chips.
It'd be the same with the later stages, except that now with the reduced prize pool, there would be more of a goal to knock each player out. I'm ok with having a bounty on an indivudal per week, but I'd rather not reduce the prize pool in favor of a KO tourney.

If what you are REALLY looking for is more players, then you might look at that $3.30 NLHE double stack knockout turbo SNG that runs on Full Tilt constantly, as a model. VERY popular.
Noobs can't seem to stay away from knockout tourneys, and experienced players like the way deepstacks can reduce the short term variance, even though it is a turbo.
You might try to run one as a minitTPT before the next season starts to see if you get more players than you have been getting.
Just my 2 cents.

don't like it, Prize pool is already small enough. you ko 3 players and get what? 1.50 to 3.00? not worth it.

Thanks for the replies so far. I don't particularly like them, we've had several requests so far about them though!

Unless we upped the buy-in, it decimates the prize pool for tiny returns. Personally, I despise KO's due to the incessantly bad play that is inherent with those trying to get the bounties. But that's me. If you add them, I'll still play.

My vote is no. While I play them from time to time, it gives the atmosphere of bingo hold em. I like the way our group plays as a whole. Very professional and also fun at the same time.

Seems like the prize pool is too small for a KO tournament… imho…
