Perfect for players who don't want to think about studying their opponent and outplaying them.

I played some .10/.25 Rush last night. I was making a nice profit.
I'm going to give it another run tonight.

If you don't like the way the screen "whooshes" off to the left between tables, you can change it so that it just fades in and out. I like that much better, not so harsh on the eyes.

the 10nl & 25nl Rush tables have been great for the first week. I hope they continue to grow.
2 tabling = about 10 tabling reg full ring tables. pretty easy to keep up with iron man and cleared my bonus.

So it's been a while since we discussed Rush Poker. Any thoughts now that we've had a lot more time to play?

I think the games are crushable. But I don't believe they do much for learning poker skills that are going to allow you to advance to higher levels.
You can practice a general LAG/TAG style, and do well. But it doesn't help much for learning hand reading or leveling. You have no real data on most of your opponents. It's a lot like playing MTTs.
I don't think you could crush 25NL RUSH and then expect to crush 25NL. Not that crushing 25NL would be difficult in itself anyway. But if you can't, then practicing in RUSH wont help. imo
Easy money. Not real poker.

I just love Rush.
Im usually not very good at multi-tabling because I will quickly scrap hands I may have thought about more if I wanst involved in a hand somewhere else.
This seems like a happy medium to me. True you may not get any experience at reads or table image, but to me, it seems like a disciplined player can do very well here. There is no excuse for poor hand selection and/or playing in bad position.
I treat my hand selection like its 4 or 6 handed. I can play pretty loose and no one will ever notice. Preflop raise and automatic continuation bet on flop wins at least 75% of the time. I don't mind that.
My only worry is that Rush will further deteriorate the poker speed meter in my head. Back when I was playing a lot online, live games felt soooooo slow. I havent played live since Rush came out but it may be even worse now.
I wanna win one of those 135 player Rush sit n gos soon.

theyre pretty cool in that they go pretty fast. Just like regualr Rush poker except that as you get to the last 20 ppl or so, u start to see the same people a lot and you can change your style to a more traditional image/read strategy.
The thing that sucks is that after about an hour and half the blinds get pretty big. Also, you have to make 5th place or better to make any good profit.
Cool thing is, you can take $400+ with and $11+1 buy-in

Lately, at the 5NL level, I've been noticing several players shoving preflop with big stacks (some over 300 bb). Previously it was mostly just the short stacks that shoved and once in a great while a big stack. Usually the big stack shoved after a bet and reraise. But now it can be without any bets or limpers in the pot. I've only seen 3 times that they have been called and find that they are shoving almost any 2 cards. What range of hands would you call these big stack shovers with? I'm thinking maybe JJ+. Would you add AK? AQ? etc. Will your stack size change what you are willing to call with? 100bb only AA and KK. 20bb any Ace? etc.

I understand the rationale on the shover's part although I dont have those sized balls. But since you have no table image on the villain, it's pretty hard to call with anything less than a monster.
And I guess that's the rationing, nature of Rush is going to get 95% of people to fold almost anything besides super premium starting hands. Too easy just to move one than to waste time pondering marginal decisions.
Pretty soon, as this gets more popular, Im going to start shoving with AA-QQ and just hope every now and then someone calls me on a "range"

The players in RUSH games get caught up in the FAST ACTION. I played mini #10 last weekend and mainly just played thye cards. Hard to get a read om some1 unless u remember the username..ended up finishing HU chop. I mainly just waited for big hands and cheap flops. If I had a monster starting hand I bet 3-5 X BB. The caller usually dont like to give up their hand.
